Outdoor Centres
We work primarily with Local Authority owned Outdoor Centres which are licensed to provide a range of outdoor educational and adventure based activities. We have a close relationship with a number of these and in some cases have helped to obtain funds for the expansion of their outdoor facilities. We believe that these centres are critical in the provision of field trips to children and young people from the more challenging and deprived areas of the country. Twenty five percent of Primary Schools have not been able to run an residential outdoor education experience for their children.

Local Authorities
These bodies are also vital for the development of outdoor experiences for young people as not only do many of them own and operate licensed activity centres but they usually provide financial support for children with special needs or who suffer from economic difficulties. This support can be combined with our involvement and ensure that a short residential field trip is affordable by a complete year group.

Schools
We work with mainly Primary School Year 6 groups and help them through the early stages of organising a field trip. We can provide information on Health and Safety and assist with presentations to parents in order to gain the 'parental buy in' for the trip. We also provide advice on fundraising from a range of local sources and then help ensure that the trip is sustainable for future Year 6 groups. We also assist with feedback from the trip and assessment of the value of the trip for the development of the participants which helps to obtain support for future trips from parents and other local sources.

Businesses
We have had some success in obtaining longer term support for individual schools and their future trips from local businesses or local branches of national chains. We assist with presentations to local businesses and can help research appropriate targets. Most businesses are aware of the need for them to have a Corporate Social Responsibility policy and this can be applied to supporting local children gain experience and confidence through benefitting from an educational and activity based stay in the countryside. These children are the future customers, and maybe employees, of these businesses.

Other Charities
The Countrywide UK Trust has links with a range of other Charities and Trusts and is often the facilitator between an individual school and these bodies in terms of helping the school make an application for financial support. Some of these Charities and Trusts are national but many are local and research is needed to discover them and understand their objectives. They all require particular types of application and feedback in order to satisfy their own objectives, trustees and regulatory framework.
